I remember those never ending nights
We used to stay up under the city lights
And I remember that night was getting cold
And you told me it was us against the world

And I wish I could go back
Live that life again

Sometimes I think of those crazy summer days
Doing nothing just running our own race
And I remember what people used to say
"They got no fututre"
We never listened anyway

Now that we're older the nights are getting
Colder and the kings haven't met for a while
But a minority that is something to be you are
Stuck here in my memory

And we felt like kings of the world
In the starlight
A wide open world right in front of us
We made a promise that we'd never change
